Trip to Forest Research Institute, Dehradun
The children of classes 5A and 5B went on a field trip to Forest Research Institute, Dehradun on the 28th of April and 5th of May respectively. They saw different species of trees, the non-wood forest products , models on afforestation and deforestation ,specimens of different types of insects, and affect of insects and pests on plants in the six different museums. The architecture was much admired by the students. They thoroughly enjoyed learning outside the classroom. This trip sensitized them towards their environment and the importance of plants in our lives was reinforced. This trip was an extension of the Unit on Plants, done in Science this term.
