The British Council conducted this camp with the objective of preparing young people to become young leaders who would help spread awareness about how sports can be a more “inclusive” – fun for all activity.

About 210 students representing 70 schools from all over the country participated in this camp. Students were divided into seven groups: Equality, Courage, Excellence, Determination, Inspiration, Respect, and Friendship.

They were given the task to prepare fun activities involving all group members and each group had a team of differently abled children who too were involved in planning the activities and then playing these fun games.

Each School has been entrusted with the responsibility to form a sports club in our school/community which will ensure that fun activities are organized regularly to include everyone in a way that the values such as team work, leadership, fitness, equality, etc. are developed easily by all.
