The word education today, more than ever, encompasses a world way beyond the confines of the class rooms. We at Welham Boys School are acutely aware of this rapidly changing scenario and therefore strive to provide to our pupils a multifaceted learning experience, so that we produce a multidimensional individual. The School thus provides the students with a plethora of options like Photography, Bamboo Work, Motor Mechanics, Design Technology, Philately, Film Making, Glass Painting, Debating and Quizzing. Under our SUPW programme students are sent to places like the Cheshire Homes, Raphael, Prem Dham, Municipal School, National Institute for Visually Handicapped to inculcate an empathy with the larger society in which they live. Publication: Budding authors finds growing mediums like the Oliphant (School Magazine) and Sankalp (Hindi Magazine) to exhibit their literary talents. The Humanists indulge themselves with the Meridian while the scientists contribute towards the Wavelength. The Oliphant and Sankalp are published on a monthly basis while the rest are published on a quarterly basis.
The School encourages students to imbibe a love for nature and a sense of adventure. Students are sent to various places for trekking and rafting expeditions. The Doon Valley provides great opportunities for all these activities.
